Wonderful News! A new court was instituted in the Diocese of Lake Charles-Court St. Katharine Drexel No. 2697 on September 27, 2015 at 9:00 am mass with a reception to follow at 5250 West Creole Hwy, Creole, LA. Hosted by Sister Court, Father Charles Kirk No. 1573.
More Wonderful News! A new court was instituted in the Diocese of Baton Rouge-Court Saints Anne and Anthony No.2698 in Sorrento on Sunday, October 11, 2015 with 46 members. Hosted by Sister Court, St Rose de Lima No. 1194.
Even More Wonderful News! A new court was instituted in the Diocese of Baton Rouge-Court St. Catherine Laboure' No. 2701 in French Settlement, Thursday, October 22, 2015, St Joseph Church, 15710 LA Hwy 16, French Settlement. Hosted by Sister Court, St Theresa of Avila No. 1955.
Another new court was instituted in the Diocese off Baton Rouge-Court St Louise de Marillac No. 2703 on November 15, 2015, St Stephens the Martyr Catholic Church in Maurepas with 29 charter members.
Louisiana State Court is on a roll: Court Marie Pleine de Grâce #2713 (French for Mary Full of Grace), instituted on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, is the fifth new court instituted in Louisiana since September 2015. Thirty-four ladies took the pledge as charter members at the installation ceremony. A reception followed the institution and installation in the parish hall.
This is the second court for this parish. The previous court was disbanded over twenty years ago. Some of the current members recall that court.
The following were elected as charter officers of the court:
Regent – Annette Richie; Vice-Regent – Angelle Blanchard; Recording Secretary – Sherry Metrejean; Financial Secretary – Karen Diaz and Treasurer – Katherine Blanchard. The Reverend Al Davidson, pastor of St. Joseph the Worker, was named Chaplain.
We welcome and congratulate these ladies, as the newest members of our Louisiana CDA family.
